-The scene below depicts a rather emotional scene of getting a wheel-chair bounded elderly onto a bus. The elderly man with a black cap sitting on his wheelchair is pushed by a middled-aged man up a ramp of a bus. Above the ramp is another man reaching his hand out to grab his handles so that he can get up easier and faster. Behind them is probably some volunteers waiting behind the queue ready to push another disabled elderly woman up the bus. I am rather touched by these acts of the volunteers who are so willing to lend a helping hand to these disabled citizens to the extent of building a ramp below so that it is convenient for disabled citizens up and down the bus to be transported around beautiful place and attractions like the Botanical Gardens and the Merlion. I believed that these people also deserve a chance to travel and look around their environment. Most people feel that they are a burden and would not want to help them around even crossing the road. Therefore, I feel that these volunteers are helpful and came to help them with compassion and passion. So far, I have not been to any volunteering work. I feel that it is only a matter of time before we start to have sympathy for this disabled and thereafter lend a helping hand to them.
